Welcome Driver's Seat Studio's project, Pick-It-Up!
Pick-It-Up is a fast-paced, competitive 2-player party game where players take on the role of Garbots,
battling to collect the most trash across a series of dynamic levels. With engaging platforming mechanics
and thrilling rounds, players compete in four unique levels: The House, The Backyard, The Basement,
and The Upstairs. Perfect for quick, exciting gameplay sessions, Pick-It-Up offers fun for players of all
skill levels as they race to outmaneuver and outsmart their opponent in this action-packed trash collection
challenge!
- Won 1st place at the EECS 494 showcase competing against 14 other outstanding games!

Designed and implemented level layouts for the game's levels.

Sourced and integrated assets to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of each level.

Developed scripts to manage interactable objects, improving gameplay mechanics and user interactions.

Implemented a variety of visual effects, including:
- Volumetric smoke utilizing Unity's particle system
- Fire & water effects using custom Shader Graphs
- Cel shading for objects to give stylized visual look utilizing Shader Graphs

This project taugh me valuable experience in level design, asset integration,
scripting for interactive elements, and visual effects implementation, honing my
ability to create immersive and engaging gameplay experiences. It also taught
me the importance of time management and communication when working with a team.
